INTRODUCTION TO OUR HYDROGEN POWERED MICRO-TURBINE POWER STATIONS

Increased demands on the nation’s electrical power systems and incidences of electricity shortages, power quality problems, rolling blackouts, and electricity price spikes have caused many utility customers to seek other sources of high-quality, reliable electricity. Our Micro Hydrogen Power Stations install and locate close to where electricity is used (e.g., a home or business), providing an alternative to or an enhancement of the traditional electric power grid. Our solutions is a faster, zero carbon emission while operating, much more energy efficient, and a less expensive option to the construction of large, central power plants and high-voltage transmission lines which cause major additional losses in transmission of electricity. Our systems over all power operational costs, higher service reliability, high power quality, increased energy efficiency, zero carbon emissions, and energy independence. The use of renewable distributed energy generation technologies and “green power” such as hydrogen, wind, solar, geothermal, biomass, or hydroelectric power can also provide a significant environmental benefit.

WHAT ARE MICRO-TURBINES?

Micro-turbine’s are small combustion turbines approximately the size of a refrigerator with outputs of 25 kW to 500 kW. They evolved from automotive and truck turbochargers, auxiliary power units (APUs) for airplanes, and small jet engines. Most micro-turbines are comprised of a compressor, combustor, turbine, alternator, recuperator (a device that captures waste heat to improve the efficiency of the compressor stage), and a generator.  Micro turbines offer a series of major advantages compared to other power technologies.

HYDROGEN POWER STATIONS ADVANTAGES OVER OTHER POWER TECHNOLOGIES

Here are the advantages of using our Hydrogen Power Station:

  • Small number of moving parts
  • Compact size with the potential to be located with strict space limitations c light-weight
  • Lower energy costs
  • Multi-fuel capability options
  • Lightweight
  • Good efficiency in Co-generation
  • Low emissions
  • Can utilize waste fuels
  • Long maintenance intervals
  • No vibrations
  • Less noise than reciprocating engines
  • Strengthens energy security

Aesthetics:

  • Improves sight lines and views with off-the-grid systems, which eliminate the need for overhead power lines

Cost-Effective: (See Section F: Economics of Micro-Turbines)

  • Enables cost savings by reducing the peak demand at a facility, therefore lowering demand charges

Functional:

  • Provides better power reliability and quality, especially for those in areas where brownouts, surges, etc. are common or utility power is less dependable
  • Provides power to remote applications where traditional transmission and distribution lines are not an option such as construction sites and offshore facilities
  • Can be an alternative to diesel generators for on-site power for mission-critical functions (e.g., communications centers)
  • Possesses combined heat and power capabilities
  • Reduces upstream overload of transmission lines
  • Optimizes utilization of existing grid assets—including the potential to free up transmission assets for increased wheeling capacity
  • Improves grid reliability
  • Facilitates faster permitting than transmission line upgrades
  • Can be located on sites with space limitations for the production of power

Productive:

  • Provides high-quality power for sensitive applications
  • Responds faster to new power demands—as capacity additions can be made more quickly
  • Facilitates less capital tied up in unproductive assets—as the modular nature of Micro-Turbines means capacity additions and reductions can be made in small increments, closely matched with demand, instead of constructing central power plants sized to meet estimated future (rather than current) demand
  • Stand-by power decreases downtime, enabling employees to resume working
  • Produces less noise than reciprocating engines

Secure & Safe

  • Strengthens energy security
  • Stand-by power provides quick recovery after an event

Sustainable:

  • Produces the lowest emission of any non0-catalyzed fossil fuel combustion system
  • Has a small footprint, minimizing site disturbance
  • Reduces or defers infrastructure (line and substation) upgrades
  • For recuperated microturbine, possesses higher energy conversion efficiencies than central generation
  • Enables more effective energy and load management

POWER PURCHASE AGREEMENT 25 YEAR LEASE

We offer 25 year power purchase agreements to meet long term energy needs. This method of producing power is completely renewable and much more economical than alternative methods using fossil fuels, solar, or wind.We warranty the fuel production equipment for the term of the power purchase agreement and provide scheduled maintenance and service to ensure there is no interruption in power supply. We license the utilization of the energy production units to third parties under Power Purchase Agreements and/or Lease Agreements. Under this model, there is no capital expenditure by the off-taker. The Company builds, finances, operates and maintains the energy production units and the Company takes all risks and responsibilities for the performance of the energy production units. We provides full service maintenance monitoring and fail-over recovery for mission critical projects and applications.  This full service warranty is active and provided for the entire length of the Power Purchase Agreement Lease Term.
